At Augusta Health, your career journey begins on day one and we’re here to grow with you every step of the way.
Augusta Health offers a variety of career exploration opportunities designed to introduce students and community members to the many professions that support patient care. Through mentorship, hands-on experiences, and real-world exposure, participants gain valuable insight into healthcare careers and begin exploring potential pathways for their future.
The Augusta Health Mentorship Program provides high school juniors and seniors with a structured opportunity to explore careers in healthcare through observation, mentorship, and department experiences. Over approximately 140 hours, students gain exposure to hospital environments while learning how education and interests connect to future healthcare careers.

Augusta Health Teen Camp is a four-day immersive experience designed to introduce high school students to the many career paths within healthcare. Participants take part in hands-on activities, interactive workshops, facility tours, and mentorship opportunities while learning about both clinical and non-clinical professions.

The Healthcare Explorers Job Shadowing Program allows students and adults to observe experienced healthcare professionals and gain firsthand insight into daily responsibilities across hospital departments. This observation-based experience helps participants better understand career pathways before committing to formal education or training.

Augusta Health offers unpaid non-clinical internships that provide valuable professional experience in areas such as administration, operations, and healthcare support services. These internships connect classroom learning with real-world healthcare environments while helping build the future healthcare workforce.

Augusta Health partners with academic institutions to provide clinical learning opportunities for students in non-nursing healthcare disciplines. These experiences help students apply their academic knowledge in real clinical settings while preparing for careers in healthcare.
